Music Matters @ RAH

Music Matters @ RAH is a public health initiative that brings music performance and interactive sessions to public and ward areas of Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH). It introduces different styles of music to people who may not otherwise have heard them, provides patients with access to music and introduces musicians, members of the community, to the hospital.

    Music Matters @ RAH includes:

  • Monthly visits by small groups of musicians from community partner the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra (ASO) to ward areas
  • Performance by other musicians in public areas
  • A music trolley to take music to people in the wards and waiting areas
  • Staff participation in music groups

RAH Health Promotion is always looking for volunteer musicians to perform in the foyer, wards or at special events. If you can make a commitment to perform for an hour on a regular basis, please contact RAH Health Promotion to discuss your ideas.
