A number of services are offered for staff and patients by RAH Health Promotion, as set out in the RAH Smoking Cessation Framework.  

Patient screening at RAH

• Most areas ask smoking status as part of nursing assessment
• All new admissions will be offered smoking cessation information and services
• Medical staff, Allied Health staff, Nurses and Lavender Lads & Ladies refer patients to RAH Health Promotion if 1:1 counseling is requested
• Patients can self refer to RAH Health Promotion
