Neurology

Neurology is concerned with diseases of the nervous system including the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves and muscles.

 

Location

The Neurology Unit and Stroke Unit are located in Ward B7 located in the East Wing of the hospital.

  • Parkinson's Disease
  • Essential Tremor
  • Dementia
  • Dystonia
  • Huntington's Disease
  • Motor Neurone Disease
  • Muscular Dystonia
  • Myasthenia Gravis

 

Research Interests

The department has a special research interest in Movement Disorders (including Parkinsons Disease), neuromuscular disorders, epilepsy, stroke and cognitive neurology.
