CLINICAL PLACEMENTS FOR NURSING STUDENTS / REGISTERED NURSES
Royal Adelaide Hospital can provide clinical placement opportunities
for Registered Nurses and final year university students who wish to enhance
their skills and expand their knowledge base in order to improve their
employment prospects.
The request from University students for a clinical placement may come directly
from the University to the Nurse Manager of Nursing, Anaesthesia, Allied Health and General Services.
Clinical placements can be provided throughout our many specialty areas
and the length of placement is dependent on the individual.
The placements maintain a focus that is relevant and reflective of current
clinical practice and research. They also provide nurses with an opportunity
to interact with experts in the clinical field, to develop an understanding
of advanced clinical interventions, and link evidence based theory to their
