Re-Entry Program - Registered Nurses

The Registered Nurse re-entry program is a pathway that prepares previously Registered Nurses for re-registration with the Nurses Board of South Australia.

Applicants to this program are required to have previously been registered as a Registered General Nurse with the Nurses Board of South Australia or with another Australian Nursing Midwifery Registering Authority primarily within the last 10 years (this may increase to 15 years subject to Nurses Board Approval).

The program consists of a theoretical component of 6 weeks at 3 days/ week, comprising of classroom sessions, clinical skills practice and self directed learning. This is followed by an observation visit.

The theoretical component is followed by a supervised clinical placement of 40 shifts, at a minimum of 3 days per week.
