Refresher Program - Registered Nurses

The Registered Nurse refresher program is a pathway for currently Registered Nurses to update and refresh their knowledge and competency in nursing.

Applicants to this program are required to be currently registered as a Registered General Nurse with the Nurses Board of South Australia or with another Australian Nursing Midwifery Registering Authority.

The program consists of a theoretical component of 6 weeks at 3 days/ week, comprising of classroom sessions, clinical skills practice and self directed learning. This is followed by an observation visit.

The theoretical component is followed by a supervised clinical placement of 27 shifts, at a minimum of 3 days per week.
