NURSING EDUCATION

Refresher and Re-Entry Nursing Programs

The programs are funded by the Department of Health as a recruitment and retention strategy to attract Registered / Enrolled Nurses to return to nursing in both metropolitan and rural areas and are open to Australian citizens/permanent residents who live in South Australia. Funding, to assist with costs incurred in undertaking a program, is available to all participants.

The refresher program is designed for Registered and Enrolled Nurses who are currently Registered / Enrolled, who need to update their skills and knowledge.

The re-entry program is designed for Registered and Enrolled nurses who have allowed their registration/enrolment to lapse. It provides the opportunity to update nursing knowledge and skills to a level of competency and skills that is required for registration/enrolment as a nurse by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
