Physiotherapy at the North Terrace Campus
Physiotherapists are involved in all of the inpatient units at the North Terrace campus. These include:
- statewide adult services such as burns, spinal injuries and cystic fibrosis
- major trauma services including orthopaedic surgery, plastic surgery and neurosurgery
- cardiothoracic surgery, intensive care and high dependency
- other general medical and surgical specialties
- cancer services.
A large variety of services are also available to outpatients of the RAH. Generally, patients are referred by RAH doctors directly from outpatient clinics or following an inpatient admission. Services include:
- Burns
- Cardiac Rehabilitation Exercise Class
- Cognitive Behavioural Pain Management Programs
- Hand Therapy
- Lymphoedema
- Musculoskeletal/Orthopaedic
- Pelvic Floor Dysfunction
- Pulmonary Rehabilitation Exercise Class
- Respiratory Management
- Scar Management
- Vascular Rehabilitation Exercise Class
Hours of service are 8.00am to 4.15pm - seven days per week for inpatients (limited on weekends and public holidays) and Monday to Friday for outpatients.
