Speech Pathology at the RAH

Overview

The Speech Pathology Department provides comprehensive evaluation, consultation and treatment for people with communication or swallowing disorders.

Main Building

The department provides services for patients at its North Tce and Hampstead Campuses.

North Terrace

    • The department treats adults as both inpatients and outpatients.
  • The Adelaide Voice Clinic is based at the North Terrace campus and offers specialist assessment diagnosis, counselling and treatment advice to people experiencing problems with their voice.
  • Flinders University of South Australia (FUSA) jointly funds the student unit based at North Terrace. It sees both inpatients and outpatients as appropriate.
  • The department is located on the 2nd floor of the linkway between the Allied health building and the Women’s Health Building.

Hampstead Centre

  • The department sees inpatients only.

 

The Speech Pathology department is committed to providing a high quality service through ongoing staff development, appraisal, teaching and clinical research.
