Use of community space for events at the Royal Adelaide Hospital

There a number of community spaces on level 3 at the Royal Adelaide Hospital available for use by staff and external non-for-profit organisations for health awareness and promotion activities.

If you are interested in using one of these locations, please apply following the process below. Applications will be considered by the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN) Communications and Public Relations team on a case by case basis.

Booking and approval process

To book the space
  • Complete and submit the online request form.
  • The CALHN Communications and Public Relations team will confirm the outcome of your request within seven days.
  • Once the request has been approved, the Communications team will then work with you on the logistics of using the community space and provide the required equipment including a display board, trestle tables and chairs.
Guidelines
  • The locations available for use are:
    • outside the Wellness Centre (level 3, main entrance),
    • the main concourse (level 3)
  • Applications must be submitted at least two weeks prior to using the community space and bookings can only be made up to three months in advance.
  • All activities must be COVID-19 safe.
  • Use of the space will only be allocated to the same area/event one day every three months.
  • Priority for will be given to requests for a specific date to mark established awareness days, for example, World Diabetes Day on 14 November.

  • Trestle tables (maximum two)
  • Chairs
  • Space for additional promotional items (e.g. pull up banners)
  • Display board (to display posters)
Main concourse
  • Display board (to display posters)
  • Trestle tables (maximum two)
  • Chairs
  • Space for additional promotional items (e.g. pull up banners)
Booth near food court
  • TV display
  • Content should be on a laptop which can be connected to the screen (via HDMI) or a USB
  • Table (desk in built to the booth space)
  • Chairs (two)
  • Stand to display brochures
  • Space for additional promotional items (e.g. pull up banners and posters)
  • Secure space under screen for laptop/valuables

Promoting your activities

  • All ‘stallholder’ promotions are to be channelled through the Communications and Public Relations team via HealthCALHNCommunications@sa.gov.au.
  • This may include notifying relevant staff and stakeholders in the lead up to the activity through the network’s internal communications channels or via social media. Other opportunities can be discussed with the team.
