New ways of working across Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN)
After several months of consultation about proposed new ways of working across Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN), a decision regarding a final structure has now been made. Over the last two months consultation has been underway with staff and unions about new ways of working and a proposed operating model that will enable CALHN to become more accountable and collaborative, and deliver better patient outcomes
The new model and ways of working were announced at an all staff forum on 29 May 2019 at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, as well as by video conference at Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Roma Mitchell House.
Staff and unions engagement and feedback received has been very valuable and informed a significant number of changes to the original proposal.
There were 26 separate consultation sessions, which were attended by over 600 employees. Around 700 employee responses were received through Union partners and a further 150 responses through online channels.
