As part of the Royal Adelaide Volunteer Service, volunteers visit inpatient wings across the RAH to offer support and assistance to patients and their loved ones.
This includes helping patients purchase any items they may need, such as newspapers and magazines, from the newsagency.
Volunteers have a cash float of $15 or $20, but will not take any credit cards.
Private patients at the RAH have a complimentary newspaper delivered daily.
