Royal Adelaide Hospital Clinical Trials Centre

Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN) Research Services established the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) Clinical Trials Centre in December 2017, with the support of AusHealth and The Hospital Research Foundation.

Located on level three of the RAH, the centre is managed by CALHN Research Services and caters for low risk interventions and follow-up visits. The centre has nine fit for purpose outpatient-like clinic rooms available for use by all clinical researchers across CALHN.

Facilities include a phlebotomy area, densitometer, and patient observation area, workstations for clinical trial staff while observing patients, sample processing and short-term sample storage facilities.

Use of the facility continues to increase as the clinical trial units at the RAH increase their activity following the move to the new RAH.

Due to COVID-19 the Clinical Trial Centre has temporarily relocated to 4G.1 East.
