Aborignal Health Unit (3A)
The Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Liaison Unit works to raise awareness and advocate on behalf of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients within the RAH, to assist in providing culturally appropriate services and to achieve good health outcomes. Opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm.
Bike Storage
Public bike racks are located in the outdoor plaza next to the SAHMRI building and undercover on level 2 near the entrance to lifts C and B.
Café
Agency Café serves a mix of hot and fresh items to suit those on the run and is open 24/7.
Chapel and Spiritual Care (3B)
Spiritual Care services provide multi-faith support and reflection to families, friends and carers. Private, individual or group prayer, meditation and quiet reflection areas are located on level 3.
Cashier (3D)
The cashier on level 3 will enable patients and visitors to pay for equipment hire, long term parking fees or other services.
Enquiries Desk (3D)
If you need to locate a family member, or are not sure where to go, you can ask at the main entrance enquiries desk.
Cancer Day Treatment (3E)
This state-of-the-art Cancer Day Centre will deliver 17,000 treatments each year to South Australians with cancer. The centre has 42 treatment spaces available. This includes 34 treatment chairs, four apheresis chairs, two treatment rooms and two isolation rooms.
Medical Day Treatment (3C)
The Royal Adelaide Hospital provides a range of specialist medical day services for patients living in the central Adelaide area.
Outpatients (3E, 3F, 3G, 5E)
Most outpatient clinics are located together on level 3 with direct lift access from the carpark. Outpatients can register their arrival at the touch screen appointment kiosks.
Playground
Families can enjoy some fresh air in the outdoor playground which overlooks the River Torrens and Adelaide Oval. The playground can be accessed from the plaza next to SAHMRI.
Wellness Centre (3A)
Patients and visitors can drop in for some advice on how to improve their health and wellbeing or have a basic health check including blood pressure readings.
Volunteer Services and Gift Shop (3A)
The team of volunteers at the new RAH will provide care and support to all patients by offering an array of services, from banking and shopping errands, to flower care and delivery of library books, palliative care support and companionship.
The Gift Shop (operated by the RAH Volunteers) is located on level 3 near the food court area. Funds raised will go towards purchasing hospital equipment to assist patients and their families.
Gym (3D)
This is a staff gym managed by EFM Health Club. Visit www.efm.net.au for more information.
Medical Imaging (3C)
Medical imaging is co-located with the Outpatient clinics on level 3, providing outpatients with direct access to a comprehensive range of diagnostic medical imaging examinations. Outpatient imaging is available Monday to Friday, 8.30pm to 5pm, offering ultrasounds, CT, plain x-ray and MRI.
Pathology (3H)
This area provides a pathology collection service to patients attending outpatient clinic appointments at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. Innovative technology in the pathology laboratory will automate the processing of specimens, including blood, urine and wound swabs, speeding up test results and enhancing accuracy.
Clinical Trials Centre (3D)
This facility provides a dedicated space for clinical trials, which aim to deliver potentially lifesaving medical breakthroughs.
Pharmacy (3D)
The Pharmacy is responsible for the distribution of medications to patients. It provides distribution services for patients being discharged, as well as for outpatients visiting our clinics. Outpatients can access the Pharmacy to pick up their prescriptions. The pharmacy also manages discharge medication.
Public dining (Level 3)
The hospital's main retail precinct is located on level 3, and includes food outlets Cibo Espresso, Sushi Sushi and the EKC Kitchen Café, as well as plenty of seating. Cibo is open from 9am to 4pm, Sushi is open from 10am to 8pm, and EKC from 6am to 8pm.
