Is the emergency department the best place for you?

If not, there are other options

Internet and telephones

Phone

Touch screen bedside devices are located in every patient room at the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH), enabling patients to manage their in-room entertainment and order meals at the touch of a button.

Each bedside device features a handheld phone and a dedicated phone number, allowing patients to make and receive calls during their stay.

While patients will need to purchase an entertainment package in order to make calls, they will not have to pay for incoming calls to their phone.

Patients and visitors are permitted to bring their personal mobile phone and electronic devices, such as tablets to the hospital if they wish.

Public Wi-Fi

Free Wi-Fi is available on Level 3 (ground floor) public areas including outpatients. For more information, go to the Public Wi-Fi page.

Internet

All bedside devices offer access to various (user pays) entertainment systems including internet access, radio channels, digital Television and a range of movies on demand.

Patients can purchase pre-paid entertainment packages directly from their bedside device. Once an entertainment package is selected, online steps will guide patients through the transaction process.
