Gynaecology oncology

 

The Royal Adelaide Hospital Gynaecological Oncology Department provides a wide range of services for women from South Australia, Northern Territory, rural New South Wales and Victoria, through their cancer journey.

It is essential to expedite treatment and access to supportive care with the aim to maximise quality of life.

The department adopts a multidisciplinary approach with involvement of patients and all relevant health professionals.


Gynaecological Oncology Multidisciplinary Meeting (MDT)

Specialist Gynaecological Oncology Multidisciplinary (MDT) team care is an approach to health care that is critical to treatment planning and ongoing management of gynaecological cancer.

It is provided by a team who meets weekly face-to-face to plan the care and treatment for women with gynaecological cancer. This approach is essential for women with gynaecological malignancies, regardless of being in the public or private healthcare setting.
